Training Dates & Schedule

Weekend Training Intensive (12 Hours)

• Saturday, October 25th | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday, October 26th | 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  

Independent Coursework & Teaching Hours (10 Hours)

• 3 Hours | Shadow & Assist
  Attend and assist 3 pole classes at any VPS location. Must be completed between Oct 27 – Nov 8, 2025.
• 3 Hours | Written Class Plans
  Submit 3 class outlines based on the VPS format by Saturday, Nov 1st at 5 PM.
• 4 Hours | Final Teach & Graduation Day – Sunday, November 9th
  Solo teach a live Level 1 class and support your fellow trainees by attending their live classes. Graduation follows the final class!
  

✅ Pre-Requisites

This is a teacher training, not a beginner pole class. To succeed in this program, you should already be comfortable with:

• Basic Spins: Fireman (and variations), Chair Spin, Hook Spin
• A Basic Pole Climb

🎓 What You'll Learn

This comprehensive training is your first step toward becoming a confident and knowledgeable pole instructor. You'll learn:

• How to create & structure a safe, effective, and exciting Level 1 pole class
• Proper posture, grips, and muscle engagement
• Foundational pole technique: spins, transitions, climbs & floorwork
• Verbal cueing, spotting, safety protocols, & classroom management
• Strength, stability, and mobility exercises for beginners
• How to lead energizing warm-ups and soothing cool-downs
• The history of pole, anatomy basics, injury prevention & more

🛠 What You’ll Need

• VPS Level 1 Instructor Manual (included)
• Required Textbook (sold separately, digital or print – emailed upon registration)
• Notebook + Pen/Pencil
• Water, snacks, and pole grip if needed

👚 Wear: Sports bra, tank top, shorts under leggings/joggers, knee pads. Heels are optional—bring them if you’d like!

📜 Certification & Opportunities

Graduates will receive a VPS Level 1 Instructor Certificate, qualifying you to teach at other studios or independently.

✨ Interested in Teaching at VPS?
While certification does not guarantee employment, VPS hires exclusively from this training program. Upon graduation, you’ll be added to our internal substitute instructor list for future opportunities.
