Spin Pole Technique Level 1 is a technique-driven class created for students who are ready to build a strong, confident foundation on a spinning pole. This class is not choreography-based and not focused on performance. Instead, the primary focus is learning proper spin pole technique—how to move efficiently, safely, and intentionally while working with the spin.

Students will learn essential beginner spin pole grips, entries, exits, and positioning while developing a clear understanding of how momentum works on a spinning pole. Instruction emphasizes correct body alignment, controlled engagement, timing, breath awareness, and clean lines. You will break down each movement step-by-step to understand why it works, not just how it looks.

Rather than rushing through combinations, this class prioritizes precision, control, and technical execution. Students will practice beginner spins, controlled transitions, and short technical sequences designed to improve balance, strength, and spin awareness. Rest breaks are encouraged so technique remains safe and intentional.

Perfect for:
Students new to spin pole or those transitioning from static who want to build strong technical skills before progressing to faster spins, combinations, or choreography. It’s also ideal for skilled dancers who want to continue refining their technique, adding personality and flair to their tricks, and perfecting small details like finger articulation, smiles, and pointed feet.

What to Expect:
• Thorough warm-up focused on shoulders, grip strength, and core stability
• In-depth instruction on spin pole mechanics and safety
• Detailed breakdown of beginner spin pole grips, entries, and exits
• Technique-focused spins and controlled transitions (not choreography)
• Emphasis on alignment, control, breath, and efficiency of movement
• Cool down and stretch to support joint health and recovery

Prerequisites:
Completion of Intro to Pole or Level 1 Pole (static), or instructor approval.

What to Wear:
Tank top or sports bra with form-fitted shorts. Knee pads optional. Please avoid lotions or oils before class.

Spin Pole Technique Level 1 is an essential foundation class for anyone who wants to develop clean, confident, and technically sound movement on a spinning pole before advancing to more dynamic spin work.
