Flow State is an ongoing freestyle pole workshop series focused on play, presence, and creative movement.
Each installment explores a different pathway into freestyle, teaching dancers how to
build movement in the moment using progressions and regressions, smooth pole-to-
floor transitions, movement exploration, musical listening, mood, and embodied cues.
Rather than memorizing choreography, dancers learn how freestyle works so they can
trust their instincts and move with confidence.
Every workshop includes:
 Tools for chaining movement choices
 Exploration of pole, floor, and transitions
 Musicality and responsive movement
 Creative prompts, props, and mood exploration
 Low-pressure sharing and playful performance
 Games and exercises that make freestyle accessible and fun
This series is designed for dancers who want to feel more confident improvising, get out of their head and into their body, build creative range and flow, and practice being seen without pressure.
Each session stands alone while also building skills that deepen over time.

Requirements & What to Bring
 All levels welcome. This workshop is designed to be accessible and adaptable
for a wide range of experience levels. Participants should have completed at
least 3–4 beginner or intro-level pole classes.

 Socks and knee pads are strongly recommended, especially for floor work,
transitions, and freestyle play.
